Ume Asian Cuisine - Fresh Sushi, Szechwan Dumplings & Friendly Service in Allentown, PA

Ume Asian Cuisine was a great place. The staff are SUPER friendly! Most of them eve speak Spanish. The service was very attentive and prompt. Food was great, fast and hot. Free dessert on the house too. It was a group odb2 adults and 4 older children. We spent $200 plus tip. It was during the week on thrusday. Restaurant was super clean and lots of space at the tables.

Have been multiples times and ordered via DoorDash, the food is always excellent no matter what. Very reasonably priced food and cocktails. Drinks are solid! Service is great and the owner is incredibly kind. Easily my new favorite spot for sushi & cocktails in the valley. Free parking around back in a lot while dining here too!

We were actually parking in town to go to a different restaurant but saw this place and decided to give it a try. I'm SO glad we did!! Everyone there was really friendly, and the food was so fresh and delicious! We ordered a few different things to try, and we were not disappointed. The chef recommended the Szechwan dumplings- the sauce was not spicy but "warm" and so very flavorful! Delicious! I can't wait to try more the next time we go.

I had the pleasure of trying Ume tonight and my experience was absolutely wonderful! The restaurant itself was spacious, clean, and had a great atmosphere. The staff were attentive and friendly. FOOD: The skewers were seasoned and cooked to perfection. The Schezuan dumplings had the right amount of spice. We got the "Sushi Mix" combo and it was perfect to share for 2 people. The sushi was very fresh and beautifully decorated. The peppered steak entree was SOOOOO good that I could not stop raving about it. I would 1000% come back and try other dishes on the menu!

Located in downtown Allentown, Ume is walkable from the many surrounding office buildings. Food delivers beyond expectations - not greasy or overly salted. Polite, prompt attentive staff make this a lunch hour destination. The choices of Chinese, Japanese and Thai dishes will please most palates.

Ume is a cool, wide open Asian fusion restaurant with one happening bar scene. It's a the heart of Allentown's downtown and is a great spot to launch one's evening. Service seems to be a team effort and my girlfriend and I were happy. The place was busy on a Tuesday night, but we never felt abandoned and our food arrived right when we needed it to do so. My girlfriend order the chicken teriyaki and a mango martini — she loved both. The chicken was tender, hot, and must have taken half the dish home. I enjoyed their sake flight (if the sake wasn't from Sango Kura in Delaware Gap, I'd be shocked). The sake was amazing — especially the taru option, which is naturally cedar flavored. The yellowtail and jalapeno appetizer was wonderful, with thick, fresh cuts of fish. I also enjoyed two of their signature rolls as well as salmon roe sushi. We look forward to returning. I cannot to try their sushi and sashimi platter, which is the real mark of a quality sushi bar. So this rating may go higher.

OMG!!!! Fantastic! The service was great! They also have parking in the back. The pricing is very affordable. The seasoning of the food was on point. The meat and shrimp were very tender. I ordered the Four Seasons with an egg roll and a couple of my friends order the Shrimp/peppers and Steak/peppers. Their Mango Bubble Tea is THE BEST! I ordered 2! One for Lunch and one to go. Definitely would recommend! Hope they stay for a long time!

Five stars all around! This is our second time here and we absolutely loved it both times. Food is amazing, everything is fresh! Prices are good for the area, lunch or dinner. Plus our server, Alex is great!
